Happy Birthday, Noah! He turned one on Wednesday. Luckily the Miyamotos lent us a camera so we could document the occasion.
Here are a few notes on his progress:
*Still no teeth. A year old and toothless. They're really close, though.
*He crawls everywhere and is into everything, particularly things with buttons, embroidery, bells, or handles. He's ditched the army crawl in favor of the more traditional crawl.
*He can climb stairs. He hasn't figured out how to get back down yet.
*He can wave hello and goodbye.
*He claps his hands when someone says "Yay!" or "Good job!"
*He loves books. I'll often catch him pulling out books from the shelf to read to himself. It's pretty cute. His favorite is "Mother Goose Rhymes."
*He will smack anything to see if it makes a noise, including people.
*He still puts everything into his mouth - animal, vegetable, or mineral.
*He says "Daddy" and "Hi," but we're not sure if he knows what "Daddy" means yet.
*He's not quite walking yet, but he does really well holding onto your fingers. He doesn't really need them; they're kind of like training wheels.
*He'll stand for a split second on his own, but he falls down the minute he realizes that you're not supporting him.
*He's still the most adorable boy on the planet. (not that I'm biased or anything...)
Great Grandma and Grandpa Morgan came to celebrate and brought Noah a small birthday cake.
Before...
After.
"What cake? I don't know what you're talking about..."
